Aftershocks ripple California after large quakes
A 5.0 magnitude tremor struck 129 miles off Eureka at 2 27 a m Sunday following a 7 2 quake Tuesday that triggered a tsunami warning from British Columbia to the Mexican border. A 3 9 quake shook nearby five hours later with no immediate damage reports from Humboldt County authorities. The basin saw multiple microquakes including a 4 9 near Yucaipa and a 2 6 to 1 0 quakes Saturday night. Seismologist Anthony Guarino notes aftershocks will continue. Since the 7 2 quake, 15 temblors above 3 0 have occurred in the area, including a 6 7 quake Thursday.

Missing Cessna 182 Near Sussex Airport Sparks Search
Police and state investigators scouring Sussex New Jersey area for a small Cessna 182 reported missing after takeoff from the Sussex airport en route to Bridgeport Connecticut. Radar showed a turn back four miles from the field before disappearance around 7 30 a m with only the pilot aboard. Weather was overcast with good visibility below the clouds as ground teams and a helicopter join volunteer pilots in a wooded search.

Teens confront father during deadly Bucks County standoff
Police said a 44 year old man who had recently left a mental health facility killed his wife after an argument and was shot to death by one of the couple's two sons. The 15 year old, who had loaded a shotgun, shot his father as he bent over his wife. The youths were not charged due to age. Names were not released.
