An Air Force spokesman said a false confession obtained by Chinese captors from Capt. Harold Fischer Jr. and three other released fliers is not grounds for disciplinary action. The officers, including Heller, Cameron, and Parks, were said to have confessed under pressure but will likely receive a clean bill of health. The services deny any Air Force orders to cross the Yalu and will study the fliers’ actions without punishment.
