Third suspect sentenced in Kansas teen death

Johnson County Judge James Franklin Davis sentenced 23 year old Joseph Mattox to life with no parole for 50 years and nearly 19 more years for kidnapping and robbery in the death of 18 year old Keighley Alyea. Prosecutors say Alyea was stabbed beaten and choked before being left in a car trunk on September 30 2009. Her body was found about a week later in rural Cass County Missouri.

Family Fun Circus features 15 year old human cannonball

The Family Fun Circus performs in Lawrence at Douglas County Fairgrounds with 15 year old Johnny Davenport billed as the youngest human cannonball in the country. His father Chuy Davenport runs maintenance as the circus lineage continues with seven generations of performers. Two shows daily at 5:30 and 8:00 pm offer horse, balancing and acrobatic acts. Tickets cost 15 dollars for adults and five for children.
