Kansas lands two Class of 2012 commits for KU football
Kansas University football adds two 2012 prospects from Blue Valley West and Camden Arkansas. Brian Beckmann, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound tackle, chose KU over Kansas State and drew interest from several power schools. Derek Keaton, a 5-10 speedster from Camden Fairview, impressed Friday night and committed after a Saturday offer, with 4.4-second 40 speed and positions at wide receiver and defensive back.

Holliday's clutch homer ends Royals seven-game skid
Matt Holliday drilled an 0-1 pitch to erase a 4-3 deficit as the Cardinals snapped a seven-game slide. He and three other starters wore knee-high socks to shake bad luck, and Holliday, back from a quad injury, added his eighth homer of the season in a 4-3 win.

KU twins Marcus and Markieff Morris invited to NBA Green Room
KU coach Bill Self says Marcus and Markieff Morris project as lottery picks and could join an NBA top 20 Green Room list for Newark draft night. ESPN projects Marcus ninth and Markieff nineteenth, with Selby expected in the first round. Self notes they may prefer to be apart but would be happy if together. Arkansas guard Ramer Clarke leaves the Razorbacks as CBSsports reports links to Kansas fade.
