Paving on Highway 10 East of Lawrence Nears Finish
Weather permitting and equipment secured, paving of 4000 feet of Highway 10 east of Lawrence will finish soon. Eight more working days are needed to complete the concrete pour as the sub grade must reach 10 percent moisture. The project uses an experimental slab and reinforcing method with a vibrator to settle concrete, and 2400 feet has been laid to date with about 75 workers on two shifts.
