Defendant to testify after mistress takes stand in murder case

Miller, former Veritas Christian School president, faces murder charges for the July 28 death of Mary Miller at their Kansas home as their children slept nearby. Carrie Parks testified to a long affair framed by Bible studies and staged meetings, including a 2002 commitment ceremony, false listings, and travel lies. Detectives found hundreds of pornographic files on Miller’s computer, and Parks described ongoing contact even as Miller reportedly planned to divorce. Defense motion to dismiss denied. Laura Cuthbertson testified to a nonsexual, nonromantic relationship with Miller.
