The House approved Eisenhower's plea to restore 200 million dollars to the military assistance portion of the foreign aid bill by a 170 to 114 vote. The move, led by Rep. OBryon Enters Fifth Nomination for Third District County Commissioner
Herbert J. OBryon of Route 3 Baldwin declares his bid as the fifth Republican in the Third District County Commissioner race. Incumbent Walter Kampechroeder, H. C. Murphree, Clarence Schaake, and Robert Schwanzle are also in the field. Delbert Richardson is the sole Democratic candidate. Sunflower Boy Injured in Sunflower Highway 10 Crash
Eleven year old Dennis Taylor, son of Mr and Mrs William E Taylor, was struck by a pickup near Sunflower on Highway K-10 and rushed to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He has a broken leg and minor injuries. The truck driver’s name was not available as Cooper Warren ambulance responded.
