Veterans Find Jobs Report Shows Rising Veteran Employment
Washington reports April and May saw more veterans employed than discharged, with the USES noting the peak in veteran unemployment may have passed. Robert C. Goodwin says about 501,000 veterans are returning monthly to civilian life and the May Census Bureau shows 2,310,000 unemployed, including 930,000 veterans seeking work. About 800,000 veterans are not working or seeking work, 570,000 are students, and 300,000 are unable to work.
