Government health insurance argued to aid workers
Detroit June 17 Government health insurance under federal or state control will not weaken individual effort but strengthen it by improving economic independence, Dr B S Worrin of the Public Health Service told the AMA. He urged a wage earner fund funded by 50 cents weekly from each employer, 25 cents from the worker, 29 cents from the employer, and 6 cents from tax. Also noted M Rubinow supported compulsory insurance as a tool against poverty caused by disease. Closing lines advertise tires and a local cigar.
