A Saturday afternoon crash on Highway nine near Lasvence killed George B R McReynolds of Wichita and injured his wife. The Plymouth sedan overturned several times after leaving the road. McReynolds suffered a fractured skull and possible neck fracture while Mrs. McReynolds was cut and bruised and sprained her back. Patrolman Carl Ray said the car traveled about 60 to 70 mph. The couple were en route to Kansas City to visit McReynolds' father.
