Crews work at the former Way-Lo Warehouse Foods store at Ninth and New Hampshire converting the brick building into professional offices for an accounting firm and Kansas Public Service. Renovation by J B Ezell Construction includes plumbing, partitions, brickwork, and stucco facade with completion planned by Sept 1 pending weather.

All Savers rate to fall this week
All Savers Certificates will drop to 9.85 percent for deposits beginning this week, with the prior 9.87 percent rate remaining through Saturday. The new rate covers one year through July 10 and ties to 70 percent of the average yield on one year Treasury bills which was 14.07 percent in the latest auction. The rate has moved from 12.61 percent last October to around 10 percent recently, and relates to $1,000 individual and $2,000 joint tax exemptions.
