Mari Baird Crowned Governor of Girls State at KU
Logan Kansas resident Mari Baird was elected governor of Girls State at KU after a two day campaign among about 425 Staters. Opponent Karen Groninger from Kansas City conceded, learning lessons in good sportsmanship. Baird led the Federalist Party while Groninger backed the Nationalist Party.
