Hair Burns From Oven Fire At Home
Miss Anne Neill, 905 Tennessee street, was drying hair in front of an oven when a celluloid combs in her hair ignited from the heat. Her mother, Mrs. Ella Neill, covered the head with a wool coat and helped extinguish the flames, injuring the scalp and burning the arms of Mrs. Neill. The plant runs its own repair shop and sources cardboard boxes and steel stripping, with dies invented by the late W K Edgar and a standing badge prize for removing an Edgar seal without detection. Flowers decorated the luncheon tables and special music was provided by Mrs. Merle Michener and Miss Marjorie Michener.
