Paris June 11 The first contingent of American officers on General Pershing's staff arrived to inspect preparations for American forces. Col McCarthy of the Quartermaster Corps Col Taylor of the Engineers Col Ireland of the Medical Corps Major Drum of the General staff and Quartermasters Moore and Parges formed the party. They were met by Major James A Logan Jr and Captain Carl Boyd at the station. Formalities were waived as they began informal conferences with French officers to review pre arrival work.
