Eudora 3rd graders top Iowa test gains and gaps
Eudora school district reports improved performance in upper elementary grades on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, with third through fifth grades scoring high while kindergartners remain low. Superintendent Otis LaVette notes 86th percentile in third grade and 57th in sixth, contrasting with weaker kindergarten results and prior year highs in lower grades. Board actions include realigning leagues to shorten travel, adopting a library materials policy, purchasing items around $15,000, approving a microcomputer for physics and business, and funding a Chicago FBLA conference trip.
