A Palmer group led by Potter Palmer won the Harlem Globetrotters for 3.71 million dollars in a Chicago court sale approved by Circuit Court Judge Robert Dunne. Metromedia and Linn Broadcasting bidding were rejected. the estate co-executors favored Linn’s offer but the Palmer bid prevailed. The team will stay in Chicago under the new ownership.
