The body of five year old James Bailey Cash Jr was recovered near his home in Homestead Florida three minutes after midnight. FBI director J Edgar Hoover announced the arrest of Franklin Pierce McCall who admitted writing the ransom notes and collecting the $15000 in small bills. Authorities recovered most of the ransom money and a shoebox used to deliver it. The coroner’s jury did not determine a cause of death. The case may go to a special grand jury in Monday session.
