Lawrence police arrest four for graffiti behind Round Corner Drug
Lawrence police jailed three adults and one juvenile from Topeka after spray painting graffiti behind Round Corner Drug at 801 Mass Tuesday night. The graffiti was ruled not gang related, while the Kansas Highway Patrol conducted a DUI and license checkpoint at the K10 junction with I-70, stopping about 100 cars. A 22 year old Lawrence man, Charles Pearlman, faces charges including fleeing a law enforcement officer and marijuana possession with intent to sell after a high speed chase ended in a field, with warnings issued for defective lights during the operation. The county fire department logged a smoke detector activation and the paper notes it does not publish all police reports.
