Six Are Killed In State Wreck Near Wichita
A car carrying a suburban Wichita woman and six others, including two young children and three teenagers, crashed into a Frisco freight train at a Sedgwick County crossing. Authorities say the south crossing lacked a guard on the near approach, and skid marks suggest braking before impact. The derailed five cars and the engine were located within yards of the scene, with the train halted about a half mile away.
