Clarence H. Brown 42, of Arkansas, long sought by Topeka police and local agencies, was arrested in Corpus Christi. He faced Topeka charges for robberies at two Safeway stores, taking 16 000 in checks and 18 000 in cash from one, 3 004 from the other, and in Texas armed robbery of a grocery store with 4 500 taken, plus 2 200 from another Texas theft. Brown was on the FBI most wanted list and was the last gang member sought. Six others were captured earlier.

4-H Judging School Set For Local Fairgrounds
A six county 4-H judging school for girls will be held Wednesday at the 4-H Fairgrounds. Counties participating are Douglas Franklin Johnson Leavenworth Shawnee and Wyandotte. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Enrolled are 96 Douglas County girls and 340 from all six counties.
