More than 1,000 alumni gathered on Baker University's Baldwin campus for Alumni Day and Stag Night with a noon luncheon in Memorial Hall. President Horn planned to award 50 year gold medals to about eight attendees, including several listed graduates from cities such as Topeka, Kansas City, and Lawrence, with reunions set for 6 p.m. and the All-College Mixer to end at 9 p.m.

Kansas University named two A. J. Boynton scholars for the 1955 56 year. David G. Hill of West Eighth Street and Mary Snowday of Salina share the honor after identical records. Dr John Ise announced the decision reflecting the fund established in 1928 by friends and associates of Boynton. The $2 600 income funds the award, given to the outstanding economics major at the end of the junior year.
