Four people were arrested Monday in Lawrence for soliciting without a license in areas near 3100 W 22nd 27th and Atchison and 1100 Jana Dr. The four are Tina Louise Woods 18 from Mesa Arizona Charles S Boston 27 with no listed address Carl J Wallace Jr 24 of Florence South Carolina and Deron M Joyner 18 from Louisville Kentucky. They were booked into Douglas County Jail on one count each and released on $100 bond. They face June 15 in Lawrence Municipal Court. Sgt Mack Pryor said the arrests reflect a shift to targeting salespeople rather than ringleaders to curb illegal magazine sales common this season. Residents should demand a license and contact police if lacking one.
