Lawrence businessman earns national honor for mobile homes
Lawrence businessman Bill Webster is honored for 57 years building the mobile home industry from a Sixth and Michigan starting lot to Webster's Inc. He organized the Douglas County Mobile Home Assn. and lobbied to expand heavy vehicle transport in Kansas, reduce sales taxes on used homes, and develop local housing standards. He owns hundreds of spaces, manages rental units, and partnered with LRM Industries on projects.
