Musical Kindergarten Work At Cottonwood Falls
Miss Stephens returned from Cottonwood Falls where she taught a six week musical kindergarten for ages four to seven. The program featured songs, rhythm, ear training, marching games, and piano notes. Mothers showed great interest as this was the first such class in the area. A closing performance included songs, dances and drills. More than fifty attended the Williams family reunion at Frank Williams’ home in Baldwin, with attendees from Douglas County and beyond sharing reminiscences of Kansas history. A basket dinner was a highlight.
