Fire chief Bradford observed as ultimate professional

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical Chief Mark Bradford, 58, who died Thursday, was remembered for his dedication to professionalism and safety. Former colleagues highlighted his pride in the fire service, attention to station and equipment standards, and his mentor role. Bradford spent 40 years in firefighting, led the Lawrence department since 2005, and served on the local school board. Services pending.

Probation Granted in 2017 Police Standoff Case
