Police say a 29 year old man who does not live in Lawrence is in custody after a rape reported by a 19 year old Kansas University student. The assault occurred between 4 AM and 10 30 AM on April 22 near West 12th Street. A witness saw the suspect digitally penetrate the victim. The case is in the district attorney’s office. Also noted are KU tenure news and nursing school move.
