The mayor and city claim the tracks were to be moved per a council resolution, while the mayor warned he could be jailed for defying an injunction. The court later granted a temporary injunction against further interference.

Miss Beatrice Thompson of Leavenworth visits Lawrence friends. Mrs Cocke and her two daughters plan a month in Excellior Springs. WP Frawley, passenger agent, was bound for Lawrence. Oto Fischer returned from Chicago. Mrs L Steinberg and Sol Marka’s guests plan a three-week visit at Excelsior Springs. Mrs S M Seot and Miss Nellie McKloney of Baldwin were in town. Mrs Frank Jones hosted a mid summer whist party at 63 Louisiana Street for her cousin Miss Florence Redburn of Norwood, Ohio. Sixteen guests attended. first prize silver hat pin went to the guest of honor, consolation to Miss Macy Murtaugh. Lucian Yarby read two pieces. punch served by Myra Stevens. A two-course luncheon followed, prepared by the Misses Mona Eberly and Ora Griesa.
Lawyers for Larry Thaw announced yesterday that he will go to trial against Stanford White with proceedings in the criminal court halted to review his mental condition. The trial is scheduled to begin October 15 in New York.

Warrants issued after the trial of two others. the men escaped on a freight train but were captured in Kansas City, Kansas.
