Overcrowding Increases Inmate Stress At Douglas County Jail
Undersheriff Gary Bunting notes jail overcrowding squeezes time in the common areas, delays for inmates across male and female pods, and a lack of on-site exercise facilities. Proposals for jail expansion and programming remain undecided as commissioners eye ballot language for a September or November vote.
