MU plans administrative consolidation at university
MU Chancellor Richard Wallace will retire in August 2004 and MU President Elson Floyd will pursue an administrative consolidation between the MU system and the Columbia campus. The plan aims to eliminate overlap by merging offices such as budgeting and finances, with a year of transition to study potential savings and impacts across four campuses.
