Funeral services are planned for Marion A. Barlow prominent Lawrence realtor who died Monday with services Friday at 10 a.m. in Rumsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Helen Burgess 64 of 2115 Learnard killed in a two car collision near Kimball Minnesota funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. in Rumsey with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include husband Edwin Burgess and six grandchildren along with three sons. Rachel Watson Innes former Lawrence resident died Monday in Pueblo Colorado after a long illness. She taught Latin in Lola schools before marriage to Robert C. Innes. Survivors include two sisters. Orin C. Jordan 52 died in Beloit June 18 with funeral services and burial in Beloit and Mankato. Survivors include three daughters five sons and many grandchildren. William Allen Turner infant son of Floyd and Mrs Turner of Overland Park died Monday at St Luke's in Kansas City Graveside service Wednesday Memorial Park Cemetery. Cooper Warren Mortuary in charge. Survivors include parents a sister and paternal grandparents.

Funeral set for Laura Leona Fearing in Lawrence

Laura Leona Fearing, 92, died this morning at Samaritan Lodge. Born September 27, 1868 in Marshalltown Iowa, she had lived in Lawrence since 1922. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cooper Warren Chapel with Revs A F Bramble and Edwin Price officiating. Memorial services and burial will follow.

Wiseman Installed Red Cross Chapter Chair in County

Howard Wiseman of Lawrence National Bank was installed Monday as chair man of the county Red Cross chapter. E. A. McFarland remains on the board and will act as statewide program chairman for a training school set for Sept. 15-16 in Wichita. Other officers named include James F. Schubert as vice chairman Mrs J W Twente as secretary Chester G Jones as treasurer and Harold C Fisher as finance chairman. The chapter budget totals 25851 with the Blood Center budgeted at 8100. The board will not meet in August.

Bond Issue Vote Scheduled Friday For District 100

Residents of newly formed School District No 100 will vote Friday on a 190000 bond to build a four classroom complex with a multipurpose room on state land leased for 1 year. The project, to be financed over 15 years, would require a mill levy between 4.63 and 6.27, with an average around 5.52.

Topeka charges filed in ride-sharing assault case

A 50-year-old Lawrence baker was charged in Topeka with assault with a deadly weapon using a station wagon to strike former employee Willard Roberts 47 who was dating the baker's estranged wife Claud Farra. Roberts suffered a fractured pelvis and other injuries after the incident early Sunday. Farra was arrested in Lawrence on Monday. his Topeka address is 638 N. H. St.
