Senator Curtis seeks wider pension aid for soldiers relatives
Adherent relatives of soldiers would gain access to pensions under Senator Curtis of Kansas as his amendment to the wartime widow and child pension bill proposes extending benefits to surviving parents siblings and orphans under six if the soldier dies. The plan would limit the relative income to 256 dollars a year and fund monthly pensions such as 42 dollars for a surviving parent or other eligible kin.
