Woman in stolen car arrested after west Lawrence chase
Ashley Laura Lee Nelson, 38, of Kansas City Missouri, was booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, driving a vehicle with an unreadable plate, fleeing law enforcement, and possession of stolen property after a Saturday morning pursuit that began near West Sixth Street and Congressional Drive and ended near North 1750 Road and Kansas Highway 10. The vehicle was reported stolen in Topeka on Thursday. Law enforcement from KHP, Lawrence Police, Johnson County Sheriff, and Kansas Wildlife and Parks assisted in the search.
