Independence Day celebration and concerts in Lawrence
A free Independence Day event kicks off at 5 p.m. at Burcham Park with live music buskers and a bouncy house along the River near downtown. The Granada Theatre owner Mike Logan organizes it, with a 8 p.m. City Band concert at South Park. If rain, the concert moves to Murphy Chroma Room 130 on the Kansas campus.
