KU hacker given probation for university grade fraud
Varun H. Sarja of Olathe received 18 months probation for computer hacking at the University of Kansas that altered grades to A s. He must directly apologize by writing letters to affected professors and the university. Judge Kay Huffs sentenced the 20 year old after a May conviction and noted an underlying 18 month prison term could be imposed if probation fails. Sarja reported he removed keystroke logger software from all devices.
