Keeping Fido Safe and Sound in Summer Shelter Tips
Renee Harris of the Lawrence Humane Society notes shelters struggle with crowding in summer and two week holds. She urges owners to keep dogs identified and police to return dogs to their origin. Veterinary costs for a mid size puppy first year run about 250 to 270 dollars, excluding food and toys. A owner, Thomas, plans to manage Mike's care until a full time job begins.
