Overflights Denied as U2 halt Affects Patrol Policy

Murray Snyder, assistant secretary of defense for public affairs, said there were no planned overflights of Soviet territory and that any such act would not be deliberate. No Word to Parents Lt McKone Missing With B47 Crew

Lt John R McKone a former Tonganoxie resident now living in Topeka with his wife and two daughters is listed among the B47 crewmen missing north of the Soviet Union. His parents Mr and Mrs Jean McKone of Tonganxie say they have heard no new information from the government. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1954 and was named outstanding cadet in ROTC.

Second Concert Series Sunday at Kansas University

Tractor Mishap Fatal Leaves 13 Year Old

A 13 year old farm boy, Gary Lee Etter, died after being thrown from a tractor that ran over him near Independence Kansas.
