Kansas outlines five year highway plan with tax hike
The AP reports Kansas outlined the final five years of its eight year highway program. The plan includes a Southeast Kansas Highway corridor between Wichita and Joplin at 237 million and a new south through Wilson County. The state also raised motor fuels taxes by one cent per gallon to fund the effort. Johnston said bids for parts of the project could start in Greenwood County next year.
