Missouri firm to acquire 1st National Merger

Mercantile Bancorporation of St Louis announced plans to merge with MidAmerican Corp and Johnson County Bankshares in a 129 million stock deal. The agreement would give Mercantile control of 16 Johnson County and MidAmerican offices and raise assets to about 10.6 billion.

Musk thistle woes plague county and city officials

Valuations Rise Slightly as Levy Battle Intensifies
