Washington outlines an $8.5 billion program across relief agencies WPA PWA CCC the navy and army plus RFC and other lenders to spur jobs and recovery. Officials expect up to 38 million people served and a financing plan including $2 billion in new borrowing by the treasury.

The state tax commission will issue an order outlining how 13 750 dollars in mortgage bond registration fees held by Douglas county are to be distributed among 16 Kansas counties. County Treasurer A M Gardner and County Attorney Charles A Springer attended the hearing and were told the commission would decide the local case soon.
