Florence Williams 82 of Eudora died Sunday January 30 2011 at Medicalodges Eudora Arrangements are pending with Rumsey Yost Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Carl M Abel 80 of Eudora will be at 11 am Wednesday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial follows in Eudora Cemetery. He died January 29 2011 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born March 2 1930 in Lawrence son of Otto and Sarah Abel. He was a 1947 Eudora High School graduate and Korean War veteran who served in the Air Force 1951 to 1955 retiring as a staff sergeant. He worked as an electrician at Farmland Industries in Lawrence 1955 to 1992 and farmed east of Eudora. Surviving wife Geraldine Jerry Langan Abel of the home. daughter Jackie Abel Lawrence. son Carlie and wife Anita Eudora. sisters Elva Kindred Eudora and Marion Shutt Lawrence. grandchildren Douglas Abel Sarah Meador and Luke Abel. Preceded in death by son Darrell M Abel and by parents and siblings. The family will greet friends 5 to 6 30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel.
