Atlanta police today broadened the hunt for Richard G. Atchley a Georgia Tech student who disappeared Sunday night. W D Shiver a former classmate said he saw Atchley at Municipal airport Sunday night stating he planned to fly to Chicago. His mother said he might have gone to Detroit to seek a GM job. Atchley carried about $10 and said a man with a car waited outside.

Cars for Coyote Hunters at Green Lantern
Transportation to the Eudora Central Protective Association coyote drive tomorrow will be available at the Green Lantern Cafe on 45 Massachusetts street at 12:45 p.m. Sponsors say the hunt will proceed despite unsettled weather. Assembly point is Kaw Valley school house four miles east on the gravel road extension of east Fifteenth street, with the drive covering about one square mile of bottom land between the Kaw and Wakarusa rivers. The roundup is the first in the region west of Eudora where coyotes are said to be numerous.

Wichita cab robbery leads to first degree warrants
Deputy County Attorney Jay Esco said first degree robbery warrants were issued for three Wichita men in the taxi holdup of 22 year old Charles E. Gergz, a Smoky Hill air base soldier from Salina. In southern France near Digne the wreckage of a U.S. air force C47 transport yielded 12 bodies including three American women five children and four crewmen. Meat shortage fears unfounded say institute official
Washington on January 31 the American meat institute said fears of a serious meat shortage are unfounded. R J Eggert associate director in the marketing department told a Senate Banking subcommittee that per person supply next spring and summer will be about one and a half pounds less than last year but more will be available per person than before the war. The Agriculture Department had forecast a severe shortage to develop in spring and grow through the summer.
