Girl suffocated in Leavenworth fire tragedy
In Leavenworth Kansas on February 2 Margaret Butler a 12 year old Negro girl died in a fire that destroyed her parents home. Fire Chief Harry J. Crelin said she was found in her bed on the second floor. Parents George and Mrs Butler and two roomers were uninjured. The blaze was attributed to defective wiring.
