In Springfield Missouri a circuit court jury ruled in favor of Dr William Clary a Springfield psychiatrist in a 150000 suit brought by Mrs Clarence James Aiken The verdict found Mrs Aiken awarded no damages for the June 1961 insulin shock therapy that left her husband unconscious for five days The patient 48 now at the Little Rock Veterans Administration was described by Dr Robert Lam of St Louis as likely to spend life in an institution The judge noted no negligence by Dr Clary but said the jury must rule on whether he warned of treatment hazards
