Kansas Considers Limiting Core Standards And Outside Groups
Core state standards would stay in place for two years while new standards are developed by the state board. The bill would repeal new social studies health and sex education standards and bar joining organizations that cede education authority. It would forbid adopting outside standards unless public domain. Rep Jerry Lunn expects a bill in the House, while a department spokesperson declined to comment.
