Repair Sewer Line Progress Reported to City
D M Babb city engineer reported progress on the Barker avenue sanitary sewer main. The line is clear of obstructions and its efficiency may have increased by 200 percent. Holes are being built along the sewer for frequent repairs and to keep it maintained. Concrete blocks reducing capacity were found, and one joint needed re cementing. A sidewalk approach at Seventeenth and Louisiana was deemed too steep and referred to the utilities commissioner. A new sidewalk from Khentucky street to the alley south of the Manual Training building was recommended.
