Five Young Children Die in Oklahoma Frame Home Fire
A two room frame house in Lawton Oklahoma burned yesterday killing five children aged two months to six years. The latch on the door failed blocking escape as flames spread through the structure. Neighbors and the father’s truck driver escaped unhurt as rescuers battled the blaze. A highway patrol investigation suggested a heater may have ignited curtains, fueling the deadly fire.
