Existing home sales fall 4.6 percent in 1989
December existing home sales eased to a 3.55 million annual rate, down 1.1 percent from November. For 1989 total sales reached 3.43 million, 4.6 percent below 1988, as severe winter, West declines, and weather weighed on activity.
