Lawrence school board names two Kansas City finalists for superintendent
After a Monday board meeting, Shannon Kimball announced two finalists for superintendent, Anthony Lewis and Jayson Strickland, both from larger districts in the KC metro area. The board aims to name the new superintendent January 29 and also approved absorbing Tiny-k Early Intervention Services next school year without extra taxpayer costs. The board discussed later start times for high schools, reviewing a survey where 43 percent favored later start times and 35 percent supported continued evaluation, with a report planned for February 26.
