Change is noted in Hoover talks in Lincoln address
In Lincoln Nebraska former President Hoover spoke in a brisk, socially open style. He rejected old staid final speeches, praised farm subsidies plainly, and asserted independence from politicians. Acquaintances say he now writes his own speeches and is openly offensive politically, a marked shift from years of reserved public bearing. The piece also reports a Douglas County Building and Loan association annual meeting and notes the death of Mrs. W. T. War, Rutherford B. Hayes niece, in Albuquerque.
