Flory Reports 3400 Vehicle Tags Issued by Saturday Noon

Three Cars Damaged In Sunday Morning Accidents North Of Lawrence
Early Sunday morning three cars were badly damaged at the intersection of Highways 24 40 and 59 north of Lawrence, but occupants escaped injury. Undersheriff Travis Glass reported. A 1946 IT convertible driven by John W Braden freshman of 1439 Tennessee street carrying five students flipped in a dirt shoulder ditch. A car driven by Paul Montez of Kansas City collided with a 1947 Ford parked on a county road west from the intersection by Richard Dobson a Kansas State College student from Wichita who was supervising salvage. A second crash occurred at Sixth and Michigan Streets at 5 30 p m injuring no one.

Lawrence to stage Sunny operetta by city students
Kansas Arts and Crafts festival opens February 18 in Lawrence.
